What it checks
The HTML your server sends, the way search engines read it first: indexing signals in the page and its headers, titles and descriptions, canonical and language-version tags, headings and word count, image alt text, JSON-LD structured data, Open Graph and X cards, links, insecure files, plus robots.txt, the sitemap and llms.txt for the whole site.
What it doesn't
Where you rank, keywords and backlinks (that's the Vinny web app), page speed, and content a script adds after the page loads. It checks; your SEO plugin writes the tags.
Questions
Do I need another SEO plugin?
To fix some of what it finds, usually yes: WordPress writes a title, a canonical and the robots tag on its own, but no meta description, social tags or structured data. JustWhat SEO Audit doesn't write tags; it checks what your pages say and tells you where to fix it, in your SEO plugin when you have one.
Is the free plugin really free?
Yes. Nothing in it is locked, time-limited or nagging. Pro is a separate add-on for sites that need SEO checked continuously.
Do I need both plugins for Pro?
Yes. Pro is an add-on: install the free plugin, then Pro on top of it, and enter your license key under SEO Audit → License.
Where do Pro scans run?
On Vinny, our servers: the plugin sends your license key and site address, Vinny reads every page the way a search engine does and checks it with the same checks the free plugin runs in your browser, and the results come back into WordPress. Nothing runs on your host, and Vinny deletes its copy after 30 days.
Does it check rankings or backlinks?
No. It checks your site itself: what keeps pages from being found and shown well. Rankings, keywords and backlinks are in the Vinny web app, a separate product.
Does it see content added by JavaScript?
No. It reads the HTML your server sends, before scripts run, which is what search engines see first.
Is a license shared with JustWhat Accessibility Audit Pro?
No. Each Pro plugin has its own license, bought separately, at the same prices.
