Pro setup

Install and activate

  1. Keep the free plugin installed and active. Download Pro from your account and install it like any plugin.
  2. Go to Accessibility → License, paste the key from your purchase email and select Activate.

Pro checks your license once a day. If our server can't be reached, Pro keeps working for 14 days on the last confirmed status. You can also put the key in wp-config.php as define( 'UAA_PRO_LICENSE_KEY', '…' );.

Scheduled full-site scans

Full scans run the free command-line scanner in your own GitHub account (GitHub Actions), which can run a real browser and handles hundreds of pages; results come back to WordPress. It also works when your public site is a separate front end (headless WordPress).

  1. In a GitHub repository you control, add the workflow file from the Pro plugin's tools/accessibility-audit.yml as .github/workflows/accessibility-audit.yml.
  2. In Accessibility → Settings → Full-site and scheduled scans, set the site address, the repository, and copy the UAA_REPORT_URL and UAA_REPORT_SECRET values into the repository's Actions secrets.
  3. Create a fine-grained GitHub token for that repository with Actions: read and write and add it to wp-config.php as define( 'UAA_GITHUB_TOKEN', '…' );. This lets WordPress start scans; without it, start them from GitHub and results still arrive.
  4. Choose a schedule and save. The dashboard shows each scan's progress and a link to its log.

Protected preview sites (for example behind Vercel Deployment Protection) can be scanned by adding the bypass header as the A11Y_EXTRA_HEADERS secret.

Alerts and the weekly summary

In Settings → Alerts, list who gets emails. They hear right after a scan finds new critical or serious problems, and every Monday morning get a summary.

Report and statement

Accessibility → Report is a one-page summary for clients and leadership; print it or save it as a PDF. Add your organization name and logo in Settings → Report. Accessibility → Statement writes a draft accessibility statement page from your real status for you to review and publish.
